Heading to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray in July is Cameron Crowe’s Oscar-winning Almost Famous – more details right this way.
One of writer/director Cameron Crowe’s most-loved movies is Almost Famous, a film that celebrates its 21st birthday this very year.
Starring Kate Hudson, Billy Crudup, Frances McDormand, Anna Paquin and Philip Seymour Hoffman, it also gives a lead role to young Patrick Fugit, as a 15-year old who makes his first proper venture into the world of rock and roll.
Set in 1973, the movie won Crowe a Best Original Screenplay Oscar, and it subsequently enjoyed a longer ‘bootleg’ cut on disc too. Now, both the original cinematic version and that longer cut will be making their Ultra HD 4K Blu-ray debut.
Almost Famous arrives on the 4K disc format on July 12th, and you can find more information out about its release right here (and order a copy too).
As well as existing extras being carried across, the new release also comes with a filmmaker focus featurette, with Crowe looking back on the movie. It’s available to order now.
